We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students with special needs under the supervision of a certified special education teacher. Your primary responsibility will be to support students in their academic and social development, helping to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide support to students with diverse learning needs in the classroom. Help students with daily living skills and activities. Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to promote student success. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with special needs.
