  • 12 Special Education teacher position requiring an endorsement in Special Education at minimum.
The district's special education service delivery model includes in-class support, co-teaching opportunities, resource rooms, and replacement classes. With this position, duties and responsibilities include: Conducting assessments of special learning needs (e.g. educational, functional, behavioral, vocational) Developing IEP, including educational and/or behavior plans and implementing specialized instruction Assessing student progress that adheres to policies and procedures of the District, and meets the individual needs of students as identified on individual IEPs Implementing programs to fulfill IEPs and maintain appropriate IEP data Providing adaptive curriculum and/or guidance to modify regular curriculum to meet individual needs in regular education classrooms or self-contained settings Providing direct support to students with disabilities in basic academic skills Working cooperatively with regular education teachers, instructional assistants, and other student services staff; including consulting, working in regular education classrooms, team teaching, and directing the activities of assigned non-certificated personnel.
