Special Education Teacher

We're partnering with a school in Adams County, CO to hire THREE dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. The Special Education Teacher supports elementary students with diverse learning needs by delivering individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals, fostering academic growth, social-emotional development, and inclusive participation within the school community.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications in collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reviews. Support positive behavior interventions and create a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license or eligibility for licensure. Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices, including IEP development and implementation. Experience working with elementary-aged students with a range of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
