Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Special Education professionals eager to foster impactful learning environments are invited to apply for contract opportunities for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in the North Denver area. These positions focus on supporting elementary students through center-based programs designed for affective needs and structured learning. Multiple full-time roles are available across three elementary campuses, allowing you to make a significant difference in students' educational journeys.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current Colorado Department of Education Special Education Teacher certification Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-grade children in center-based, affective needs, or structured learning environments Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with staff and families Adaptable and solutions-oriented in supporting diverse learning needs Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to commit to a full academic year contract (August 11, 2026 - May 20, 2027), full-time (35+ hours per week)Role Responsibilities:
Serve as a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Affective Needs or Structured Learning Services in an elementary school setting Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on students' unique needs Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth Monitor and document student progress; participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration Communicate proactively with families and support staff to ensure student success Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school climateWhat You'll Experience:
