Job Description

This contract opportunity is ideal for a Special Education Teacher seeking to work in a center-based setting with a dedicated team throughout the school year. As a valued educator, you will join a collaborative staff specializing in setting III/center-based programs. In this LAUNCH position, you'll provide individualized instruction and foster an inclusive classroom experience tailored to the needs of each student.
Qualifications:
Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required) Experience teaching K-12 students in a special education or center-based program (preferred) Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs Positive approach to behavior management and student engagement
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans in alignment with students' IEP goals Utilize evidence-based strategies to maximize student participation and growth Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary team Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Track and report student progress consistently to staff and families Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities You'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week during the school year, providing stability and routine. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, giving you the opportunity to make a lasting impact over the course of a full school year.
