Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by helping them achieve their fullest potential as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments and adept at supporting students with diverse needs. The role is entirely onsite, with 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and active Georgia Special Education Teacher certification or licensure Prior experience in a school-based special education environment preferred Strong understanding of IEP procedures and documentation Proven ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff Excellent classroom management and organizational skills Commitment to on-site work throughout the school year
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instructional strategies and support in compliance with each student's IEP Collaborate closely with general and special education colleagues to support student integration Manage and document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth Engage with families, support staff, and administration to ensure comprehensive student support
