Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in early childhood special education by providing essential services to young learners and their families. This contract opportunity near Eden Prairie, MN, is tailored for a dedicated ECSE teacher who can support children from birth to age three, both in their homes and childcare settings, during a maternity leave. The assignment runs from August 7th through January 1st and involves close collaboration with ECFE teachers to ensure high-quality, personalized intervention and support.
Ideal Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching license, with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement Experience working with children ages birth to three and their families Familiarity with home visits, child care setting support, and early intervention practices Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in collaborating with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Skilled in individualized education planning and developmental assessments Adaptability and resourcefulness in diverse environments Reliable transportation for traveling to home and child care sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct home visits and child care site visits to provide services for children ages birth to three Collaborate extensively with ECFE teachers to coordinate and support student interventions Develop and implement individualized goals and instructional plans for each child Engage and coach parents and caregivers in supporting their child's development Document progress and maintain thorough, confidential records per organizational and state requirements Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for holistic program improvement This position offers the chance to work hands-on with a welcoming community and passionate early childhood educators.
