Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled Special Education Teachers to support high school students for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details:
Multiple special education teachers needed for the upcoming academic year School year runs from August 3, 2026, to May 25, 2027 Serve high school students with diverse learning needs 4-day work week, Monday-Thursday, 7:30am to 3:30pm IEP meetings typically scheduled before or after school hours Caseload assignments determined as enrollment solidifies
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid teaching certification in Special Education for Arizona, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date Demonstrated experience working with high school-age students, ideally in a special education setting Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills
