Duty Locion:
FCI Ray Brook, NY Duties Help This position is loced in a Federal Bureau of Prisons federal correctional facility, in the Special Investigive Services Office. Serves as an assistant to the Special Investigive Agent (SIA)/Special Investigive Supervisor (SIS) and is responsible for providing assistance during investigions, developing reports, preparing correspondence, maintaining evidence, and computer support. Assists the SIA/SIS in conducting investigions of inme violions of BOP prohibited acts of various severity levels, such as assaults, introduction of contraband or narcotics, possession of money or currency, communicing gang affiliion and/or participing in gang activities, and other prohibited activities. Investigions can range in length from several hours to weeks or months depending on severity. Along with all other correctional institution employees, the Special Investigive Services Technician is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. Educion:

OR Experience:
You must have least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualificions to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or reled to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience which demonstred the ability assisting in conducting investigions or investigive research. Experience which demonstred knowledge of investigive techniques, control of evidence and crime scene preservion. Experience which demonstred knowledge and use of current telephone monitoring equipment, drug test kits, and all available media recording and playing devises. If applicable, credit given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
