At JBT Marel, we're seeking a Specialist Operational Buyer/Planner to join our forward-thinking, innovative team and help us deliver world-class solutions. If you're ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you! This position is located, onsite, in Stratford, Wisconsin. As the Specialist Operational Buyer/Planner, you will report to the Site Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for purchase order management, supplier development, and driving cost savings initiatives. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong time management, and the ability to work independently. This position will actively support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. The Purchasing Department is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services required to support manufacturing and operational needs. The team ensures supply continuity, cost control, quality compliance, and alignment with production schedules and business objectives. Among other tasks, here's what you'll be doing: Responsible for managing assigned commodity spend using a Total Cost of Ownership methodology, considering price, quality, delivery performance, and lifecycle costs. Relationship owner for assigned supply base ensuring alignment with Company goals regarding Delivery, Quality, Inventory, Cost, and Risk. Conduct timely negotiations with assigned supply base to support Company cost management process on an as needed basis. With oversight, create, maintain, and communicate inventory stocking and replenishment strategy for assigned supply base through data collection/analysis, internal collaborative discussion, and market intelligence. Daily tactical management of assigned relationships which includes purchase order creation/maintenance, expedites, and date acknowledgement. System maintenance, including vendor onboarding, part number creation and maintenance, and planning parameter maintenance for all serviced suppliers and replenishment locations. Participate as a member of a Project Team and/or Cross Functional Team as required and other related duties as assigned. What kind of person are you? Knowledge of purchasing/supply chain/sourcing fundamental processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills Working knowledge of ERP functionality as it relates to job responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal skills focusing on teamwork and servicing internal and external customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to think critically Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
