Job Description

Join Our Team and Help Drive the Financial Health of Our Organization Join our Revenue Cycle team and play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our organization while delivering outstanding customer service to patients, residents, families, and insurance partners. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated part-time Specialty Services Revenue & Recovery Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration. What You'll Do Review unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims to ensure timely resolution and reimbursement Investigate payment discrepancies and process denials, appeals, and rebills Maintain accurate account documentation and follow-up records Monitor aging accounts and work assigned queues to meet department goals Process refunds and reconcile cash and payment postings Review remittance advices and resolve undistributed cash issues Serve as a customer service resource for patients, residents, payers, and responsible parties Work collaboratively with coding and clinical departments to ensure accurate billing Prepare and transmit paper and electronic claims Assist patients with payment plans, insurance verification, charity applications, and collections processes Analyze denial trends and communicate findings to leadership Maintain Assisted Living, Long Term Care, and Swing Bed census and billing records Support a positive team environment and assist with departmental projects as needed Position Highlights Flexible schedule, 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours Work can be done at any time, with a few exceptions Flexibility to work in a remote or hybrid environment, depending on what works best for the selected candidate Must be able to train on-site and spend time in the office as requested Medical, dental, and vision insurance option available for employee and family Minimum of $2,000 provided with medical plan enrollment to help pay for qualified healthcare expenses Flexible Spending Account options to help you save your earnings Paid time off for when you need to recharge Employer-matched retirement plan, free money Free life insurance and voluntary options Employee Assistance Program to provide you with complimentary services Cafe discount to ensure you stay nourished If you're ready to make an impact and grow your skills within a high-performing Revenue Cycle department, apply today! High school graduate or equivalent. One year of experience in healthcare or a business-related field. Experience in medical billing, claims processing, RCM, or a related field preferred. Must be consistently available at the beginning and the end of the month for appropriate billing processing Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to retain and understand billing and collection regulations, while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently.
