Job Description

The Viola School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education/Inclusion Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality instruction and meaningful participation in the general education setting. The Special Education/Inclusion Teacher is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. This position requires working closely with general education teachers to provide accommodations, modifications, and co-teaching support within the classroom. The teacher will use data-driven practices to assess student progress, adjust instruction, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and district policies. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the Special Education/Inclusion Teacher will maintain accurate and timely documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers. The teacher will also contribute to a positive school culture by fostering strong relationships with students and colleagues while promoting an inclusive environment that values all learners. Qualified applicants must hold a valid Arkansas teaching license with appropriate Special Education certification. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented setting are essential. Experience in inclusive practices and differentiated instruction is preferred.
