Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this school year supporting K-8 students with speech and language needs! This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking flexibility and the chance to collaborate within a vibrant general education environment. You'll work 2-3 days per week (schedule can be tailored to your availability, up to 3 days), helping students thrive in communication as you team up with educators and families.
What You'll Bring:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Connecticut SLP license or eligibility Prior experience working with school-age children (K-8 preferred) Familiarity with IEP process and school-based documentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on student needs Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure student success Participate in IEP meetings, maintain accurate records, and document progress in accordance with state and school guidelines Offer consultative support and training to school staff, promoting best practices in communication strategies in the classroom
