Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a positive impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a thriving school environment near Newbury Park, CA. This role invites you to collaborate closely with educators and families, fostering meaningful communication skills in students across varied grade levels for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP Previous school-based SLP or pediatric experience highly valued Strong knowledge of evaluation, intervention, and IEP processes Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt communication strategies to individual student needs
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students referred for speech and language concerns Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and supporting goal development Maintain clear documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to promote carryover of skills and overall student progress Provide education and consultation to school staff on speech and language disorders Take advantage of a contract position designed to fit your expertise into a supportive educational setting.
