Job Description

The Savannah R3 School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with communication disorders. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, helping them achieve academic and social success. This open position is for the 2026-27 school year. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students with suspected communication disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and evaluation reports Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Ensure compliance with IDEA, state guidelines, and district policies Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid Missouri license in Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred) Eligible for or holding Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Working Conditions School-based environment serving students from diverse backgrounds and needs Ability to travel between buildings within the district (if applicable) Salary and Benefits Competitive salary based on education and experience Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance Participation in Missouri Public School Retirement System (PSRS) Professional development opportunities Savannah R3 is an equal opportunity employer.
