Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational setting. Essential Qualifications:
Licensed SLPA in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in school-based or healthcare/clinical SLPA settings preferred Strong understanding of speech-language therapy techniques and best practices Ability to work collaboratively with SLPs, educators, and families Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Compassion and patience in supporting a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a certified SLP Support students' IEP goals and participate in progress tracking Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to individual student needs Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and intervention sessions Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide input on student performance Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all learners
