Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive, school-based setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate SLPA excited to contribute their skills and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals. You'll help empower students to communicate effectively and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Active SLPA license in the state (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working with children or in educational settings preferred Strong knowledge of speech/language development and intervention techniques Ability to follow therapy plans prepared by an SLP and adapt to individual student needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
What You'll Do:
Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within the school environment Utilize engaging activities to help students achieve communication goals Track progress, maintain documentation, and assist with reporting and assessments Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to coordinate student care Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development when required This opportunity allows you to work in a positive and encouraging setting, where your contributions as an SLPA are truly valued.
