Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a school-based environment near Flint, MI! This part-time position is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking flexibility, professional collaboration, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational team. With approximately 8-10 hours per week (typically spread over two days), you'll provide vital speech and language services to students while maintaining an ideal work-life balance.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active or eligible Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Michigan Open to Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFY) and those holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) Previous experience in school settings preferred, but strong clinical skills and passion for working with children are key Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for assigned students Design and deliver individualized treatment plans and interventions Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other service providers Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress and treatment strategies Attend relevant meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed Provide consultative support to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies
