Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) runs from August 20 to May 28, offering meaningful work within an educational environment.
Two openings are currently available:
one at a single elementary school and another serving a pair of local elementary sites, allowing you to expand your professional experience with a diverse student population. Bring your SLP skills and dedication to support student growth, collaborating with educators and families to unlock each child's unique potential.Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Active state licensure, or eligibility for licensure in South Dakota Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsRole Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and assessments to K-5 students with varied speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain comprehensive documentation Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development Travel between two schools if assigned to the split-site role This contract role is ideal for SLP-CCC professionals eager to make an impact in elementary education.
