Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to work closely with school-aged children and dedicated educators near Odessa, FL.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current and valid state license or eligibility to obtain one as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred. Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication challenges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' IEPs. Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed. Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on communication needs and progress.
