Job Description
Overview Serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the outpatient and inpatient Rehabilitation Services Department at Cherokee Nation Hastings Hospital and Clinic. The SLP will focus on preventing, assessing, diagnosing and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; no substitutions. Master's Degree preferred.EXPERIENCE
At least six months experience.COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Internet software and Word Processing software.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. The mandatory education program must have been approved, recognized, or accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) at the time the degree was obtained. The SLP will require an active, current, valid, and unrestricted Speech Pathology license, registration, and certification in the State of Oklahoma. A certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information. Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.Qualifications:
