Category Schools•SLP Job Type Contract School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)•Johnson City, NY An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a supportive special education program serving preschool-aged students in Johnson City, New York. This position offers the option to begin during ESY services or at the start of the regular school year, with consistent full-time hours and a collaborative school-based setting focused on helping young learners thrive. Position Overview Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location:
Johnson City Serving students ages 3-5 Special education population 20-30 student caseload Approximately 50% non-verbal student population Year-round opportunity available Schedule 40 hours per week Monday•Friday 8:00 AM•4:00 PM School Year /
ESY Dates Regular School Year:
September 9•June 25
ESY:
July 5 into August Candidates available for ESY and/or August start are encouraged to apply Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting Conduct evaluations and maintain documentation in compliance with district guidelines Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families Support communication development and individualized student goals Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration Qualifications Active Speech Language Pathologist license Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred Experience working with non-verbal students and special education populations is a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills Compensation $50•55 per hour based on experience and qualifications Benefits & Perks Weekly pay Health, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) opportunities Dedicated recruiter support throughout the assignment
