$65.00 - $70.00 per hour Now Hiring for the 2026-2027 School Year We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person school-based assignment in Pierre, South Dakota for the 2026-2027 school year. Virtual interviews are currently being scheduled for qualified candidates. This opportunity offers flexibility with multiple grade-level caseloads available. Assignments may include elementary, middle school, high school, or mixed K-12 caseloads depending on candidate preference and district needs. Candidates who prefer working with specific age groups are encouraged to apply. Position Highlights 2026-2027 school year contract In-person school-based position Virtual interviews available now Competitive hourly pay: $65-$70/hour Multiple caseload options available Elementary, middle school, high school, and K-12 opportunities Full-time school schedule Supportive special education and therapy team environment Opportunity for contract renewal Responsibilities Provide speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations Manage assigned caseload based on grade-level preference and district needs Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Active South Dakota Speech-Language Pathologist license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred South Dakota Department of Education certification or eligibility for school-based services preferred Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered depending on district support availability Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Preferred Experience Experience working with K-12 student populations Knowledge of IEP processes and special education compliance Experience with AAC devices and assistive communication strategies preferred Familiarity with school-based therapy documentation systems Why SLPs Choose School-Based Positions Competitive hourly compensation Flexibility with grade-level assignments and caseloads Predictable school-year schedule Collaborative educational environment Meaningful impact on student communication and success School holidays and breaks built into the schedule Apply Today We are actively scheduling virtual interviews for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
