Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by stepping into a rewarding Speech Language Pathologist role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity is centered at an elementary school, where you'll have the chance to utilize your expertise and passion to foster strong communication skills in young learners.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current New Mexico PED certification required Active and valid New Mexico SLP license Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent from an accredited program Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous school-based experience, especially with elementary-aged students, is highly valued Strong ability to collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and intervention for students with speech and language needs Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized plans Take an active role in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, sharing insights and recommendations Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with all state and district guidelines Partner with teachers, support staff, district personnel, and families to ensure student growth Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current on best practices This contract role offers a chance to work in a supportive school environment focused on student success and professional collaboration.
