Job Description

Category Schools - Educational Diagnostician Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Educational Diagnostician supporting K-8th grade students in an engaging school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, itinerant role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school sites, working closely with educators and specialists to ensure every child's needs are supported.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid New Mexico Educational Diagnostician PED is required Experience conducting comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations in a K-8 setting Strong understanding of special education eligibility criteria and IEP development Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Adaptability and flexibility for traveling between sites as part of an itinerant schedule Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Conducting psychoeducational assessments and thorough student evaluations Assisting in the development, review, and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Working closely with special education teams, school staff, and families to interpret assessment results and plan interventions Attending and actively participating in IEP meetings for assigned caseload Maintaining confidentiality, accurate records, and timely reporting Contributing expertise and positively engaging in a team environment Traveling between multiple K-8 school sites as needed Step into a pivotal position with the flexibility to influence student success while working alongside dedicated professionals.
