Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Adams, OR area! This dynamic role runs from the last week in August through the first or second week in June, spanning the entire academic calendar for a total of 185 days and 40 hours per week. With a caseload of around 60 students across one or multiple school sites, you'll play a vital part in supporting student communication and engagement in an educational setting.
What We're Looking For:
Valid SLPA license or certification recognized by the state Prior experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational teams Flexibility to work across different school buildings as needed Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality Organizational skills to balance documentation with direct student support
Key Responsibilities:
Support SLPs in delivering speech and language interventions under supervision Implement therapy plans targeting receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency, and more Document student progress and assist with reporting requirements Adapt session activities to meet diverse student needs and learning goals Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to optimize student growth Participate in regular meetings and professional development as required Travel between assigned school sites as needed Candidates will follow a daily schedule set by the school, with start and end times based on site needs.
