We're seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract in Windsor, VA, starting ASAP. This role is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Compensation is $1,922/35-hours for travel clinicians and $1,894/35-hours for local clinicians. What you'll need: A valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist. What you'll be doing: Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to determine the type and severity of communication issues. Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's goals and needs. Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice quality, comprehension, and expressive language. Evaluate and treat dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing techniques and strategies. Recommend and provide training on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when appropriate. Educate patients and families on home programs, strategies, and exercises to support carryover of skills. Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed. Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to support whole-person care. Keep accurate, up-to-date records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Help patients generalize improved communication skills to daily routines, school, or work settings. Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
