Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the health and well-being of preschoolers in a dynamic school-based setting. This engaging position focuses on working with 12 young students, providing essential nursing care and support in a lively educational environment. The assignment runs from June 1st through June 25th (end of the school year), with the possibility to extend into the Extended School Year (July-August) if you're interested in continuing your impact. As the on-site Registered Nurse, you'll be part of a collaborative team committed to nurturing each child's development, safety, and daily comfort. You will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm, fostering a consistent, supportive environment for both students and staff.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State Previous experience with school-aged or preschool children preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations Commitment to fostering a healthy, inclusive, and nurturing learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing services, including medication administration, minor first aid, and health assessments Monitor and manage student health plans or chronic conditions Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families as needed Collaborate with educators, school staff, and related service professionals to ensure holistic student care Participate in classroom activities and health education as appropriate Imagine the difference you can make in the daily lives of young learners and their families.
