Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits dedicated speech-language pathologists interested in making a positive impact during the extended school year session. This contract position supports students from June 10th through July 2nd, offering a focused schedule of 12 hours per week—combining 9 hours of direct student support with 3 hours devoted to planning and preparation. The setting offers the chance to deliver essential communication interventions in a collaborative school environment located near Arlington Heights, IL. In this role, you'll contribute to students' continued progress during a crucial summer period, working alongside teachers and support staff to ensure each learner receives personalized care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current state licensure as an SLP Prior experience working within school settings preferred Knowledge of evidence-based and individualized intervention strategies Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to adapt sessions for diverse student needs and developmental levels
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, both in individual and group settings Assess student communication abilities and document ongoing progress Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and families to optimize student outcomes Develop tailored treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Maintain documentation and reports in accordance with school requirements Actively participate in planning activities to enhance lesson effectiveness This contract position offers a meaningful, flexible summer schedule and the opportunity to work with a great group of students.
