Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference this school year by providing essential speech-language services at schools in the Aromas area. This full-time contract position, scheduled for August 2026 through June 2027, focuses on supporting student communication and language needs. Extensive school-based experience in California is highly valued, and on-site candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are especially encouraged to apply—although non-bilingual SLPs will also be considered. The exact school and caseload details are still being finalized, but direct services and student assessments will be core responsibilities. Opportunities are available for both seasoned local professionals and travel SLPs ready for a rewarding challenge.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active California SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Previous experience in a California school setting strongly preferred Fluency in Spanish and experience serving bilingual populations highly desired Ability to provide direct speech/language therapy and perform comprehensive assessments Professional, collaborative approach to working within diverse school teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students as assigned Conduct formal and informal assessments; develop effective treatment plans Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings Support students across varying ages and needs—final assignment details will be provided Engage with other educators to ensure comprehensive student support
