In this pivotal role, you will lead the electrical estimating process for complex projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing. Your expertise will drive successful project bids, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall profitability of our electrical construction endeavors. Duties Prepare detailed electrical estimates for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments. Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop precise cost analyses. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive bids and proposals. Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, pricing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs with accuracy. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and refine estimates for optimal project outcomes. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and adjust estimates as needed to maintain competitiveness and profitability. Ensure all estimates comply with relevant codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and adhere to safety standards and contractual obligations. Requirements Bachelor's degree 5 years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems; prior electrical or construction site experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, construction management practices, and contract administration. Proficiency with estimating tools including BIM, digital takeoff tools and other ndustry-standard software. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Demonstrated ability in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management principles. Solid understanding of electrical systems design, installation processes, and construction site operations.
