Job Description
Purpose of Position The Sr. FP&A Analyst has responsibility to deliver standard monthly reporting on financial results and forecast to Gems Setra leadership and Ralliant Corporate, focused on the Industrial Solutions Business Unit (ISBU). The successful candidate will assist with the annual financial planning process across the global Gems Setra organization and partner with business leaders on understanding, evaluating, and driving financial performance. This position will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the financial planning and analysis functions by coordinating the full P&L planning and reporting process, providing guidance on financial strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives. - Key player in the monthly close process to ensure global delivery of on time reporting of our monthly financial results and updated financial forecast to Gems Setra leadership.
- Act as the lead FP&A business partner to the ISBU General Manager, providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
- Integral partner in the annual budget process from financial target setting to building budget schedules to facilitate clarity with Gems Setra leadership and Ralliant Corporate.
- Key partner with functional leaders on fixed cost spending starting with target creation, monthly variance analysis, and understanding forward looking risk. Make recommendations on adjustments to forecast and help manage costs within annual plan targets for cost center budgets.
- Lead ad-hoc analysis to understand business performance on a variety of factors including material margin, labor productivity, indirect spend, and fixed cost leverage as needed.
- Conduct analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business cases.
- Build and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility on business performance. Education & Experience Required
- Minimum of 7-10 years in high visibility planning roles with demonstrated success within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Solid understanding of current industry standard business intelligence solutions - including Power BI and Business Objects
- Robust knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communications skills
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot sophisticated datasets
- Organized, with a strong process and detail focus to deliver high quality and timely results
- High energy, bias for action with continuous improvement mentality; recognizes and resolves issues
- Team-player demeanor with the ability and willingness to tackle challenges
- Excellent digital literacy, particularly MS Excel and ERP system experience (One Stream ideal).
