Job Description
Job Purpose The Senior Manager, Industry 4.0 - Global Deployment is responsible for leading the global rollout, adoption, and scaling of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) digital solutions across manufacturing and operational facilities. This role sits within the IT organization and serves as a key integrator among IT, OT, Digital Manufacturing, Engineering, and Business Operations to ensure the standardized, secure, and value‑driven deployment of smart manufacturing capabilities.
The role focuses on translating global Industry 4.0 strategy into executable deployment plans, ensuring consistent architecture, cybersecurity compliance, change management, and measurable business outcomes across regions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end global deployment of Industry 4.0 solutions (e.g., MES, IIoT platforms, advanced analytics, digital twin, automation connectivity). Own deployment roadmaps, rollout sequencing, and site‑level execution aligned with global standards. Ensure consistency, scalability, and reuse of I4.0 solutions across regions and plants. Serve as the primary IT leader for IT/OT convergence initiatives. Partner with OT, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Automation teams to integrate shop‑floor technologies with enterprise IT platforms. Ensure compliance with IT architecture, cybersecurity, data, and infrastructure standards. Manage global deployment programs with multiple workstreams, vendors, and regional teams. Act as a key interface between global IT, regional IT, manufacturing leadership, and business stakeholders. Drive alignment across regions while managing local requirements and constraints. Ensure deployed solutions align with global I4.0 architecture, cloud strategy, edge computing standards, and data platforms. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant deployments. Evaluate and onboard technology partners and system integrators. Drive organizational change to ensure adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions at plant and regional levels. Establish training, documentation, and support models for sustained operations. Promote a digital mindset and best practice sharing across global sites. Define and track KPIs tied to productivity, quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability. Ensure deployments deliver measurable business value and ROI. Support continuous improvement and solution enhancement post‑deployment. Education and Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Master's degree preferred (MBA, Engineering, or Digital Transformation related) Experience 8-12+ years of experience in IT, Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or related domains 4+ years leading global or regional technology deployments Proven experience in manufacturing environments with IT/OT integration Technical & Domain Expertise Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies:

systems IIoT platforms & edge devices Data analytics, cloud & edge computing Automation, PLCs, SCADA (working knowledge) Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for industrial environments (e.g., IEC 62443) Experience with global system integrators and industrial technology vendors Leadership and Professional Skills Experience supporting smart factory or digital manufacturing transformations Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Experience working across multiple global regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) Certifications in Project Management, Agile, or IT Service Management (PMP, SAFe, ITIL) Key Success Factors Successful global adoption of standardized Industry 4.0 solutions Secure, scalable IT/OT deployment aligned to enterprise architecture Measurable operational and financial improvements Strong cross‑functional and cross‑regional collaborationSimilar remote jobs
