The Sr Security Officer is responsible for overseeing and directing day-to-day work of security personnel. Responsible for enforcement of all policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to the effective and consistent maintenance and enforcement of all policies, rules and regulations pertaining to the security of team members, patients and students, public, etc., buildings, grounds, and traffic at facility during designated shift of duty.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Minimum of 3 years experience as a hospital security or in law enforcement. Must be able to stand and walk for a long period of time, 8-12 hrs a day. Lift a minimum of 100 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs. Ability to ascend/descend 2-10 flight stairs. Ability to handle disorderly and/or abusive patients and visitors. This will include behavioral patients and patients brought into the Emergency Trauma Department under arrest. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Knowledge of security, traffic regulations and procedures. Documented Security Supervisory training.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
