Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant to support core financial operations for a local organization in Manchester, New Hampshire. This Staff Accountant role combines accounting and some analysis responsibilities, requiring strong attention to detail and sound judgment and a highly organized individual. The Staff Accountant position works closely with departmental staff and leadership to maintain accurate accounts, reconcile and post journal entries and be support for the team and back up other functions in the department.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger and subsidiary records by posting entries, balancing accounts, and recording adjustments that keep financial information current and accurate.
- Examine financial activity, calculate and enter transactions, and complete account reviews to support reliable accounting records.
- Manage key AP, cash and banking tasks such as processing receipts, uploading purchasing card activity, creating daily reconciliation reports, and completing bank account reconciliations.
- Communicate updates on work status, issues, and proposed solutions to supervisors, respond professionally to public inquiries, and collaborate with other departments to improve efficiency.

!! Requirements- Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.
- 2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, along with familiarity with accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
