Job Description:
Position Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of financial and accounting duties. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, assists with financial reporting, and supports month-end and year-end close processes. Key Responsibilities Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation Enter and process beneficiary bills/invoices accurately and in a timely manner Prepares voids, stop payments and reissues checks as needed Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and sub-ledgers Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies Ensure timely and accurate processing of journal entries Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Support corporate accounts payable (AP) Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation Help improve accounting processes and internal controls Prepare year end Form 1099s Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1-3 years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications Experience with accounting software High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
