Staff Accountant

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing both transactional and analytical core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and assisting with monthly closes and reconciliations. Duties Maintain fixed asset records including project tracking in coordination with department managers, monthly depreciation entries, reconciliation to general ledger, and audit-ready documentation. Assist with cash management including daily transaction reporting, electronic payments and transfers, accounts payable review, and cash flow analysis. Assist senior accountant with month end close, including costing, inventory analysis and adjustments, journal entries preparation and posting, balance sheet account reconciliation, and financial statement compilation as needed. Prepare periodic reports including weekly inventory/sales reports, brokerage commissions, state/product board registrations and reports. Assist with audit by gathering backup documentation and addressing audit requests as needed. Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as requested. Serves as backup to all other members of the accounting department. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience required. Two or more years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Understanding of GAAP is required, understanding of IFRS preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Working knowledge of accounting ERP system. Intermediate to advanced level of Excel proficiency

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
