Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Kouts, IN 46347 $26 an hour - Full-time $26 an hour - Full-time We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate for this position will have a background in accounting and general office work. The ideal candidate is very organized and prioritizes accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also have a background in positive pay, accounts payable and good communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of QuickBooks is required.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage vendor invoices and payments Create vendor master files as needed. Review invoices for proper General Ledger coding Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry Select invoices to be printed, prepare for mailing Organizing and filing invoices Reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies Respond to external vendors and internal departments regarding all aspects of the A/P process Maintain payment schedule for all recurring invoices Support and cross-train with A/R Process Positive Pay on 4 bank accounts and respond to Positive Pay alerts and inquiries Other general office duties as assigned

Qualifications:

2 years of experience in accounting required Knowledge of basic accounting principles and strong math skills
