Job Summary:
Provides and/or arranges for facility wide orientation and training programs, in-service education and other educational programs for the development of facility personnel. Works closely with all departments and monitors, controls and prevents infections at the facility, Responsibilities include: Formulates, implements and evaluates policies and procedures for the facility wide In-service programs Prepares annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent in-service programs Schedules, conducts and arranges mandatory and other services for all staff In conjunction with Department Leaders, conducts facility orientation for all new employees Acts as a liaison with families and patients
Required Background:
Associate's degree in nursing required. BSN preferred Valid NYS RN licensure 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care facility in Nursing Administration Knowledge of CDC guidelines as related to infection control as well as OSHA requirements Schaffer Extended Care Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
