Job Description

Company SummaryA leading engineering and design organization supporting critical infrastructure across North America is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to join its Houston-based team. The firm delivers complex projects across the power, utility, and industrial sectors and is recognized for technical excellence, a collaborative culture, and long-term career growth opportunities.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for lattice and transmission tower projects, including new construction and retrofit work.

Develop models, calculations, drawings, and design deliverables using tools such as PLS-Tower, FEM software, and BIM platforms.

Assist with project planning, including man-hour estimates, schedules, budgets, and proposal support.

Apply applicable codes, standards, and specifications to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.

Participate in quality assurance and design reviews, including checking drawings, models, and shop drawings.

QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited program, with 2-3+ years of structural engineering experience (depending on degree).Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles, particularly for steel and lattice structures.

Proficiency with engineering software such as RISA-3D, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Revit, and Tekla.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
