Full Job Description About Us:
DBL Design is a leading custom severe duty truck conversion shop dedicated to transforming trucks into rugged, high-performance machines. We specialize in lift kits, custom fenders, gear installations, bumper installations, 6 x 6's, super singles and more. Our team is passionate about delivering top-tier craftsmanship and innovation to our customers who demand reliability and excellence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stage One Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with truck modifications, including lift kits, fender installations, gear setups, bumper installations, and other related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about trucks and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lift Kit Installation:
Install and adjust lift kits on a variety of truck models, ensuring proper alignment and function. •
Fender Installation:
Assist in the installation of custom fenders, and fender liners, including cutting, fitting, and securing fenders to ensure durability and a perfect fit. •
Gear Installation Assistance:
Support senior mechanics with gear installations, including differentials, axles, and other drivetrain components. •
Bumper Installation:
Install front and rear bumpers, including custom fabrication and mounting to meet customer specifications. •
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough inspections of all work performed to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. •
Tool Maintenance:
Keep tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or necessary repairs. •
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other mechanics and technicians to complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive mechanics, preferably with a focus on truck modifications. •
Skills:
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. •
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions (e.g., crouching, kneeling). •
Work Ethic:
Strong attention to detail, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. •
Certification:
ASE certification is a plus but not required.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
