May 26, 2026 Job Description Vergennes Union High School is seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic stage director for our fall high school musical production. This is a contracted position for the duration of the production season. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production team, including the Music Director, Choreographer, and Technical Crew to bring a dynamic and educational theatrical experience to life for our students and community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all aspects of staging and direction for the musical production Conduct auditions and cast the show in collaboration with the production team Develop and communicate a clear artistic vision for the show Run rehearsals and scene work while maintaining a positive and inclusive environment Attend production meetings and coordinate with school staff volunteers
