Overview:

We are looking to bring on a Drafting Intern to support our team in El Mirage, AZ. This role is structured as a 90-day introductory period with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance and team fit. Several of our current full-time drafters started through this same path. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in learning drafting within a structural steel environment and gaining hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the drafting team with creating and updating drawings Interpret and work from existing plans, sketches, and specifications Support revisions and documentation updates as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in drawings Learn internal drafting standards, tools, and workflows

Qualifications:

Strong ability to visualize and interpret drawings (required) Basic understanding of drafting concepts or willingness to learn Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Comfortable working in a team environment

Preferred Background:

Exposure to Architecture, Engineering, Technology, Game Design, or Math-related fields Any hands-on experience in machining, drafting, or steel fabrication is a plus Prior internship or entry-level experience in a related field is helpful but not required Degree is not required but may be considered a plus
