In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial and residential projects, contributing to the seamless execution of construction initiatives from inception to completion. Duties Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to steel stud framing, drywall installation, plastering, and EIFS applications. Develop detailed cost estimates using estimating software On screen takeoff and Quickbid , incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate prices and secure favorable terms that align with project budgets. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline scope of work, pricing strategies, and project timelines. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence accurate estimating and cost control measures. Monitor project progress and update estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or market conditions. Assist in contract review and management to ensure all terms are clear and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Skills On-Screen Takeoff and Quick bid experience Strong knowledge of construction processes related to steel stud framing, drywall installation, plastering, and EIFS systems. Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Deep understanding of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications accurately. Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical insights into field conditions affecting estimates. Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams including project managers, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
