Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the sterilization, preparation, and management of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with health standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures, anatomy, and physiology, contributing to the seamless operation of our medical services. This position offers an opportunity to support critical healthcare functions in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments and medical devices for sterilization Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilizers following strict protocols Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment using inventory management systems Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized according to established aseptic techniques Document sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and quality control procedures meticulously Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for scheduled procedures Adhere to hospital policies regarding infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance Conduct routine quality checks on sterilized items to verify sterility and functionality Assist in training new team members on proper sterile processing techniques Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination risks
MUST HAVE
3+ years of SPT experience•[REQUIRED
] Travel experience•[REQUIRED
] BLS certification (AHA)•[REQUIRED
