Stock Associate

Receiving and Stock Associate - Designer Linen Outlet Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Receiving and Stock Associate to manage the flow of merchandise from the delivery truck to the sales floor. You will be the backbone of our inventory system, ensuring that products are received accurately, handled with care, and displayed according to our merchandising standards. The ideal candidate is physically active, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Receiving & Unloading:

Efficiently unload delivery trucks and verify shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.

Inventory Processing:

Unpack and price merchandise accurately. Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to management immediately.

Stocking & Merchandising:

Transport processed goods to the sales floor and stock shelves and tables.

Backroom Organization:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse or stockroom. Manage recycling and trash removal.

Inventory Accuracy:

Assist with periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits to minimize "shrink" (loss).

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of box cutters, pallet jacks, and ladders. Direct Shipments to

Customers:

Send needed shipments to customers via FedEx.

Required Skills & Qualifications Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. consistently. Attention to

Detail:

Ability to spot small discrepancies in SKU numbers, quantities, and product quality.

Reliability:

Strong punctual habits, especially for early morning or late-night "truck days."

Basic Tech Skills:

Familiarity with handheld scanners (RF guns) or basic Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.

Communication:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow multi-step instructions.

Work Environment & Schedule Shift Work:

May require early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on delivery schedules.

Products:

Products are bed and bath linens so weight is not excessive.

Pay and Perks Hourly rate:

$20/hour. Approximately 20 hours/week.
