Manager - Playa Baya & Shoobies Compensation $25/hour + tips Approximately 35 hours per week $150/month healthcare stipend Monthly bonus opportunity up to $300 based on overall shop performance and leadership Estimated total compensation: approximately $50,000-$65,000 annually depending on tips and performance bonuses. About the Role We are looking for a strong, dependable manager to oversee operations for both Playa Baya and Shoobies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys leading teams, and takes ownership of operations, customer experience, and overall shop performance. Playa Baya and Shoobies operate as connected concepts in a shared operational environment. While they are two separate brands, they function closely together by sharing kitchen space, storage, and certain operational systems. Because of this, the role operates more like managing one larger operation with two concepts rather than two completely separate standalone stores. This is a leadership-focused role with significant autonomy. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations across both locations Hire, train, schedule, and manage staff Maintain strong customer service standards and team culture Ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational consistency Track inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to ownership Improve systems, efficiency, and overall shop operations Hold team members accountable to company standards and procedures Communicate regularly with ownership regarding operations and staffing Help create a positive, organized, and professional work environment Leadership Expectations The manager is responsible for helping both businesses run smoothly with minimal day-to-day owner involvement. We are looking for someone who: Takes initiative Communicates clearly and professionally Leads by example Handles problems calmly and proactively Creates accountability while maintaining a positive culture Assistant Manager Support Playa Baya will also have an Assistant Manager role to support daily operations.

The Assistant Manager will:

Run many day-to-day shifts Help manage call-outs and shift coverage Support team communication and execution This structure is designed to reduce burnout, improve consistency, and allow the Manager to focus on leadership and operational oversight rather than handling every daily issue personally. Preferred Qualifications Previous management or leadership experience Strong communication and organizational skills Hospitality, food service, or retail experience preferred Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and flexible availability Comfortable multitasking and solving problems independently

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
