And you'll do this while working alongside some of the best scientific and engineering experts in the industry. We're hiring a Stormwater Inspector to work from our Denver, CO location. In this role, you'll participate in environmental compliance projects in the metropolitan Denver, CO region and surrounding areas. As a stormwater inspector, your primary duty would be to travel to a variety of sites to conduct preventive maintenance inspections on devices installed to prevent the unauthorized discharge of pollutants from a permitted work site, report the findings of your inspection, and manage subcontractor work associated with findings in the report. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an experienced consulting team working on challenging projects. Responsibilities As a Stormwater Inspector professional at Ensolum , your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include: Accurately inspecting construction site conditions relating to potential pollutants and the associated Best Management Practices (BMPs) implemented to prevent, control and/or contain pollutants. Reporting findings and implementing follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Providing general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed. Regularly communicate with Client Managers, Group Managers, and Project Managers. Researching and documenting environmental regulations at the local, state and federal levels. Performing tasks for multiple projects meeting scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables are maintained. This is a full-time position with typically 90-100% time spent in the field. Stormwater inspections entail scheduled and unscheduled construction site inspections to identify problems or otherwise verify compliance with federal, state or local stormwater permit(s). This position may also be responsible for interacting with clients in the field and providing advice and consultation to the client when needed. Qualifications We're always looking for people who are self-motivated, learning-oriented, and client-centric. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum , you'll also need a few more qualification requirements: Recent graduate (BS degree) or related field experience. 0+ years (1 to 2 years preferred) of relevant environmental compliance experience or professional internships. Basic knowledge of hydrology, soils, wetlands and erosion/sediment control is a plus. Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical reports is a plus. Certifications in erosion control and/or water quality practices are a plus. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Individual must be physically able to walk around construction sites and occasionally climb slopes and berms, jump over ditches and cross uneven terrain. Ability to multi-task, allowance for schedule flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check.
