Child Care Services, Research, and Advocacy Strategic Partnership Outreach Manager Location:

On-site Position Job Summary:
Crystal Stairs, Inc., a California nonprofit corporation dedicated to child care development for working low-income families, is looking for a dedicated, mission-driven Strategic Partnership Outreach Manager (SPOM) who will initiate, plan, manage and execute all Agency efforts to increase programmatic support, outreach, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement. The SPOM will implement a robust programmatic outreach plan, identify new partnership opportunities, and cultivate relationships to maximize contributions/funding and expand our reach. The SPOM will work as a key member of the External Affairs team reporting to the Director of External Affairs. This position will collaborate with program leadership, maintain relationships with existing and potential partners, and contribute to the strategic growth of community outreach events and community partners to promote CSI's programs and services. The SPOM will develop a solid foundational understanding of the Agency; past and present, the Early Care and Education industry, and the communities we serve to ensure high quality representation and education in community and programmatic outreach. The SPOM will work closely with all program areas and program leadership and will have a thorough understanding of all Agency programs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The SPOM provides the delivery of quality services in the following areas: Proactively identify, develop, and broaden the scope of the Agency's resources and community engagement opportunities through strategic relationship building, cold calling, community meetings, networking, and events. Lead, and collaborate with Marketing & Communications, in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic community outreach and recruitment plan. Manage the development of partnerships and program funding opportunities by researching and presenting prospective new partners, cultivating new relationships, coordinating and attending partner meetings, and strengthening existing relationships with businesses, foundations, community stakeholders, and nonprofit agencies that align with CSI's values, goals, and programs. Work closely with program teams and leadership to support the mission and organizational goals, especially for specific partner initiatives and events; limited local and statewide travel as needed to support program and partner initiatives. Regularly maintain a secure database of community partnerships and outreach efforts, data tracking, funding updates, reporting, and acknowledgements. Support the Agency's initiatives in managing an individual cultivation plan to expand and enhance the Agency's outreach efforts through engaged stakeholders. Create various resource generating campaigns that support the Agency's overall mission and strategic initiatives. Provide leadership in planning and execution of special events (i.e. Dancing Under the Stars, Stand for Children Day, Parent Empowerment Day etc.) Represent the Agency at various local events, community-based agencies and businesses, schools, and other public venues. Research and identify new outreach opportunities by determining highly concentrated under resourced populations where CSI should conduct outreach services. Conduct agency presentations; participate in workgroups, committees, and ad hoc groups as necessary; act as a liaison with agencies and community stakeholders. Develop strategies to recruit families into Crystal Stairs child care programs, educating, engaging, and connecting families with appropriate resources and Crystal Stairs staff. Identify and initiate contact with community-based organizations and community partners to secure established locations for outreach activities. Coordinate agency outreach events and/or presentations; ensure events are posted on agency calendar; provide timely event information/contact to event support staff. Maintain a tracking system for all outreach activities/contacts and expenditures; prepare required monthly service data reports; including reporting to assess quantitative outcomes on outreach effectiveness. Research and order program promotional items, event materials, and print collateral; work in collaboration with External Affairs and Purchasing Departments to ensure adherence to branding, agency guidelines, and procurement procedures. Work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop written and visual materials, including community partner appeals and marketing collateral, to support CSI's outreach and recruitment efforts. Develop strong and effective culturally sensitive material to promote program services and increase corporate visibility throughout the Crystal Stairs catchment area and help maintain the Agency's centralized systems for resources. Respond to requests for information or services, connecting community members and stakeholders with the appropriate programs and services, maintaining ongoing communication to appropriate agency Leadership as needed Provide support to specially funded projects and programs Perform other duties as assigned.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead by example with integrity, professionalism, and high ethical standards. Collaborate with agency managers and interface with executive leadership to support agency-wide initiatives and goals. Set and uphold standards for professional communication, image, and conduct, strengthening the agency's brand and public presence. If the opportunity arises to add staff: recruit and hire qualified, diverse talent that reflects the communities served. Supervise direct report staff, including program and administrative support personnel, temporary staff, and interns as needed. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and development through routine check-ins and staff development meetings. Deliver timely performance feedback, initiate corrective actions when necessary, and complete performance evaluations promptly. Monitor and track staff attendance, ensuring timely and accurate submission of timecards.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent with a focus on business development, communications or marketing; or equivalent experience in relationship management, community outreach, business development, or communications and marketing. Minimum of 3 years community outreach and partnership cultivation experience, sales, and/or marketing experience preferred. Communications or development experience for a community-based organization preferred. Proven track record of success in cultivating partnerships and relationship management. Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with a variety of personalities inside and outside the Agency. Able to show success in planning, execution, and ROI of community outreach and Agency hosted events. Must have experience planning, implementing, and managing projects from start to completion and follow-up. Knowledge of Crystal Stairs' service area. Must have experience working effectively with diverse ethnic, economic, and community groups. Must have knowledge and ability to effectively communicate with adults in various settings and with varying learning styles. Must have the ability to understand and communicate demographics, child care services, and related data and research. Must be an analytical and strategic thinker. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must have excellent communication, customer relations, organizational and presentation skills. Must be able to collaborate with Marketing & Communications team members to develop outreach materials. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite; and other databases/CRM platforms for information tracking and project management. Experience with Kindful is a plus. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude, willing to help and support other employees and departments, engage in staff events, and demonstrate company values. Exhibit thoughtful, strategic problem-solving. Can demonstrate use of logic, with the end result in mind, address a challenge or issue with urgency and able to craft a plan to solve it, remaining calm under pressure. Be results oriented and show initiative by identifying what needs to be done before being asked or before a situation requires it. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and reactions of people from diverse backgrounds and with different needs. Position requires a high degree of professionalism, judgment, ethics, integrity and maturity, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to pivot quickly and thoughtfully from professional meeting spaces to logistics and hands-on event set-up and support in the same day. Operates under minimal supervision as a point of contact for the agency, exercising latitude and judgment in decision-making process, delivering quality work and timely results. Must demonstrate the ability to receive and incorporate feedback and direction effectively to meet the Agency's goals and objectives. . Identifies diverse resource options and opportunities. Must be able be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Travel may be required, up to 25% percent for event planning, community events, partner meetings etc. Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license; have use of a motor vehicle; and provide and maintain evidence of automobile liability insurance. Must provide verification of a valid TB clearance within the last year of employment.
