Position Summary:

Labor One is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Fitter Supervisor to join our team for a project based in Brownsville, TX. As a Structural Fitter Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful fabrication and assembly of structural components. Your expertise in overseeing a team of skilled fitters, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to project timelines will be crucial to the project's success.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of structural fitters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate assembly of structural components. Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of tasks. Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and best practices to create a secure work environment. Collaborate with project managers to ensure project milestones are met and any challenges are addressed promptly. Conduct quality inspections to verify precision, accuracy, and alignment of fabricated components. Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and labor hours for reporting purposes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the fabrication process, coordinating with the necessary teams to find effective solutions. Foster a culture of teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement within the fitter team.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Structural Fitter Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction or maritime industry. Strong knowledge of structural fabrication techniques, materials, and assembly processes. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Commitment to safety and quality standards, with a track record of maintaining a safe work environment. Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
